Profession:Educator, Doctor of Chiropractic, Businessowner

My parents escaped from Vietnam to seek the American dream.  Growing up in America, they consistently instilled in us the values of education.  This truth is evidenced by my public education graduating from UCLA with a double major in Biochemistry and Business Economics.  There, I had the opportunity to be an educator and taught college students the significance of leadership and community outreach.

I am a Doctor of Chiropractic and owner of a pain management center.  As the founder of the non-profit Asian Pacific Cultural Foundation, I organize an annual international festival to promote cultural diversity through arts and music.   In 2009, I was honored with the prestigious Golden Wave Award, a people’s choice award for individuals involved in community activism and service.  I sat on the Board of Directors for over 10 years with Project MotiVATe to mentor at-risk youth to help them achieve the opportunity to enter college.  Currently, I am teaching leadership courses for youth and pain management and mobility courses to seniors.

I am committed to higher education and believe today’s children are the foundation for tomorrow.  My hope is to provide everyone the best educational resources and skills to achieve success in today’s changing world.  I wish to be your voice to represent the best interests for students in our community.

Dr. Jonathan Bao Huynh
